A b o u t  I n d r a  B a y u

                                      Indra Bayu started playing guitar from 6th grade. The instrument came to him naturally as he was born in a musical family, with his father a guitar player himself - it was very natural for Bayu to choose guitar as his first instrument. Being brothers with musicians, he played a family rock band named Forester when he was still in high school. Bayu knew from the very start that he wanted to be a professional musician, he started taking private lessons in classical guitar and electric guitar when he was in middle school, and as soon as he graduated from high school, he joined one of the oldest music institutes in Jakarta to learn more about guitar. Despite his passion in guitar, he found out that he wanted to try to play the contrabass as well and changed his major after 1.5 year of majoring in guitar. Although he has been playing guitar all his life, he was interested in the functions of bass. This leads to an ability to play various instruments; Indra Bayu is able to play the guitar, contrabass, electric bass and piano. 

Bayu enjoys entertaining the audience and is a fast learner when it comes to music, as he was trained extensively in music since a young age. Music has been in every aspect in his life as he is currently studying to get his degree in music, and whenever he's not busy with school, he plays gigs all around Jakarta. His repertoire goes from jazz, rock, pop to metal. In Blodwen, he feels that his old passion in guitar has been awakened and he wishes to reach his dream of becoming one of the guitar gods with the band.
