We are very, very excited to announce that our FIRST MUSIC VIDEO will be premiered on 21st Sept. This is a huge milestone to us since making a video has been a long-time plan for the band. But we couldn't agree more that the waiting was totally worth it!
We had the opportunity to shoot in the set of the internationally-acclaimed "The Raid 1: Redemption"; the building was 5 storey high and there was literally no electricity. So yes, indeed, we had to move all the sets and equipment on foot - climbing up and down the stairs - and in sheer darkness when the sun was out. You can say that we really had some exercise on the shooting day!

We arrived at 8 AM on the set and got ready as soon as we reached the 5th floor. The building was very cool-looking with ceilings full of holes, dusty floors and broken windows. The set was perfect for what we were aiming for. After we put on our costumes and makeup, we started shooting group shots. Up until then, you can say that the shooting was progressing rather smoothly until an unexpected thing happened. Since there was no electricity, we got the electricity on through a generator set that ran on fuels. Unfortunately, we ran out of fuels halfway the shooting. We sent two of our crews to find fuels, but did waste time waiting for the electricity to go back on.
Luckily, our director Victor improvised on the spot and shoot some footage on the rooftop only equipped with batteries (thank God for spare batteries) so in the end, from the power that got cut off, we got quite spectacular scenes in return with the natural lighting of the sun. We were also very lucky that there was no sign of rain on that day, the weather was very clear and bright, and it was a perfect day to shoot.
The electricity was back on when the sun was already setting, so there were some scenes that needed to be improvised on spot. But everything went on smoothly despite it all since everyone was in very high spirits, including the band, the director and the crews.

In the end of the day, we spent 14 hours in total and got out of the building at around 10 PM. We must had repeated playing the song for almost 60-80 times, it was crazy! The shooting was exhausting but we were very happy to have the experience. The excitement due to this being the first official Blodwen music video is overwhelming, and like mentioned before, the energy of everyone on set was astounding. We immediately made new friends and colleagues on spot.
The video will premiere on our official YouTube Channel (if you haven't subscribed, subscribe NOW!) and official website on 21st Sept. We CANNOT wait to show you the video! Just a few more weeks to the premiere, wish us every support and wait for it! \m/
